Rope Making II
This installation, hosted by the Forest School near Kenora, Ontario, explores the tensile strength of bacterial cellulose fabricated into ropes. The suspended stones test the strength of bacterial cellulose rope over time, exploring change in formation. Installed from December to May, the ropes respond to shifts in weather and climatic conditions, particularly air temperature and humidity. We hope to revisit the bacterial cellulose rope making process in the future.
