Lessons learned from previous weathering tests are being applied in this iteration of upscaled bacterial cellulose panels, tested in sub-arctic (Churchill, Manitoba) and continental (Winnipeg, Manitoba) locations. A selection of bacterial cellulose configurations has been deployed and exposed to outdoor conditions since March 2024, with regular on-site and image monitoring taking place. These experiments aim to confirm successful configurations of bacterial cellulose panels for integration into architectural projects, providing critical data on their long-term durability and performance.
