Compression tests on mycelium blocks and tensile strength tests on bacterial cellulose strips are conducted at the Faculty of Engineering to analyze the mechanical properties of these biobased materials. These tests provide important information about potential applications of mycelium and bacterial cellulose in architectural contexts. By understanding these properties we can develop more combinations of biobased products that are tailored to our local conditions.
