Weathering Test II

The Dome Project builds on previous weathering research by utilizing larger bacterial cellulose samples (80 cm per side) to study their resilience in Winnipeg's climate. The project employs removable panels attached to the structural elements of a geodesic dome, capable of holding 40 panels with varying material compositions.  Each panel undergoes exposure to the elements, allowing for the observation of the effects of humidity, solar radiation, and temperature variability on bacterial cellulose.  The dome serves as a prototype for material installation and a proof of concept for upscaled sample production, demonstrating the potential of these materials in real-world applications
