Elucida is an interactive exhibition showcased as part of Nuit Blanche Winnipeg in 2022. Suspended from branches of trees in Stephen Juba Park, Elucida formed a dynamic installation inviting the public to touch, view and experience the material characteristics of bacterial cellulose. By illuminating the installation, its malleability, varying texture, translucent qualities, and ability to absorb dye are revealed. At the heart of developing the Elucida exhibition was demonstrating the potential of bacterial cellulose as a low-energy, biodegradable architectural material while inspiring curiosity in the public.
